FYI if your employer does this, if they have done it for a long time especially, you and your coworkers could be owed huge amounts of unpaid wages and it would be an easy suit if there is a paper trail like this and your employer is placing strict requirements on your behavior while not at work. Employment lawyers generally work on contingency. Just food for thought.

i do think it could be good to implement a tutorial. i can imagine it is a bit intimidating to join tumblr when all you’re used to is tiktok, insta, twitter etc. eventually people figure it out on their own but a bit of support wouldn’t hurt! just. don’t change the entire platform to try and appease these confused newbies

I don’t have any attachment to “somewhere else”. I don’t have a community “somewhere else”. I have to start from scratch “somewhere else”, and that should not be my only option. That should not be the option people in big, northern, liberal cities give me whenever I talk about the political climate in the south.
I want to make the south safe for me and mine, not abandon it entirely. This is my home. These are my roots. We should be focused on making these places better, not writing them off as a lost cause.
Queer southerners should be able to hope for and work for our homes to be safe.
Our only options shouldn’t be to suffer here or flee elsewhere.
btw i highly recommend smashing things in a safe and contained manner when you’re upset. the instinct to rage and destroy can be sated by the sound of broken glass. find a place and a few objects to shatter, it’s good for the soul. i just took a hammer to my ex’s bong and i feel so much more normal now. you don’t always have to be careful and precious with the world around you, you’re allowed to destroy things too, i give you permission. violence can be healing when you’re inarticulate with rage :)
